During my time at Vancouver Film School, I had the opportunity to collaborate with students from the animation department.

This project went through a lot of development phases before we finally realized the core of the theme. It made it clear again, how important it is to know, what it actually is that one wants to tell. After we had found the core, the story unwrapped itself almost on its own.

“As the only female member of a chess club, Bella decides to quit when she isn’t taken seriously. But her young friend, Cane, convinces her to play one last game against Victor, the undefeated local champion, whose defeat would prove her worth as a formidable chess player. But Bella soon finds herself trapped in a much more dangerous and dreadful game than the one she was expecting to play…”

I was asked to edit the script for this project, when I collaborated with the film production department at Vancouver Film School.
